QUALITY WORKS's TDR250

This custom TDR250 is equipped with a JL up-chamber and painted in a speedy color scheme. TDR250 is built especially for pavement use and allows riders to have an upright position, so they can easily control it as they like. In this project, stock wire-spoke wheels (18-inch front, 17-inch rear) are changed to 17-inch cast wheels equipped with tubeless tires with radial carcasses.

When riders try TDR250's custom like this, they may think many parts of it, such as CDI, can be unreplaceable; however, it is compatible with TZR250, because its engine has the same system. Also, there are many aftermarket parts available, like the chamber used in this custom, as well as R1-Z wheels.

The exterior is painted in the current Yamaha blue with a speedy strobe pattern. The double cradle frame is remained to be stock.

The exhaust system, which is crossed under the front of the engine as in the normal layout, is an up-type stainless steel chamber made by JL in the Czech Republic.

Handle

The base is the '88 model, and its layout is the same as the stock TDR. The antenna for ETC on-board unit was also added here. The braced handlebars are Hardy aluminum with hand guards.

Chassis

The square swingarm and link-type monocross suspension are also remained to be stock. The rear wheels were diverted from Yamaha R1-Z and the sizes were changed from 18/17 to 2.75-17/3.50-17, with 17-inch front and rear and wider rims. Powder coating was applied for easy maintenance. Radial tires are Bridgestone TS020.
