I used Join link 525 ZVMX2 to extend old DID 525ZVMX2, that chain used to be used for my Ducati SF 1098S, because the old chain is 6 links shorter than for Multistrada 1260S. After installing I ride a long trip of 6000km, It operates smoothly, stable and has a very good driving feel.View Detail

Time to change out the chain and sprockets for my kids off roader. I decided I would go for a 420NZ3 as it is a great chain and pretty cheap, I have gone with either the chrome or silver finish previously but thought I would give this one a try. This came up as a sale item and although the 134 link was out of stock, the 140 links was in stock and just an extra few £s so went for that. Cutting off 6 links is not a problem if you have the right tools. I found the correct chain and length by simply checking the bike's user manual and that was pretty much it. No need to go on Yamaha parts catalogue as some things, you should just know about the bikes in your household you maintain. Although this is a fairly heavy item, the shipping was pretty good and along with a couple of other small and light parts this worked out really well. I opted for EMS as they were a bit cheaper than Fedex Express and EMS get the orders to you faster than Fedex anyway. This chain as I said, was already in stock so arrived within like 5 days of ordering. Come on, 5 days from placing the order to arriving at my door in the UK. Brilliant. All the parts in the order were well packed and as I also had a couple of small parts in the order, Webike securely wrapped them individually so even if the chain moved in transit, the smaller parts would not come to harm. I had a quick look at the chain upon arrival and I was speechless. The finish is flawless, it just feels like quality as do all DID chains. Even the smaller chains like this are just second to none for quality. The links were nicely greased and the rollers were super smooth. Why go with anyone else than DID when these guys know exactly what they are doing with chains. The chain obviously needed to lose a couple of links so it would fit the bike, pretty easy job if you have the correct tools. All fitted including the front and rear sprockets in less than an hour. This chain looks amazing. One very happy youngster with new chain and sprockets for the summer season. I used to use cheaper non-seal chain over the years and it is good but chain strech like a rubber band.need to set chain adjuster so oftenly.Much Higher Quality Chain Like VX SERIES CHAIN BIT PRICY AND IT HAS X-RING ON IT.DOESN'T STRECH LIKE A STANDARD NON SEALED CHAIN.PURCHASE THIS D.I.D VX SERIES CHAIN FOR MY 1987 TW200 AND I FORGET TO PURCHASED CHAIN RIVET TOOL AT THE SAME TIME.WITHOUT CHAIN RIVET TOOL COULDN'T ABLE TO 100% SUCCESSFULLY PRESS THE MASTER LINK,IT CALL CAULK (ZJ) JOINT.If anyone looking to buy this chain for your bike , you desperately need chain rivert tool. don't forget it when you place a order..New x-ring chain installation little bit tricky.This time I only change a x-ring chain because my front and rear sprockets are in a good condition however I noted and mark the milage .first I have to remove the old master link and connected the x-ring chain (no need to zip tie) rotate until the new x-ring chain arrival.then lube up the four x-ring and the msater link evenly. using a chain rivet tool need to press the chain master link.according to the D.I.D FLARE DIMENSIONS CHART CHAIN FLARE MUST BE BETWEEN 5.2MM -5.7MM. CHAIN LINK WIDTH IS 18MM.I manage to set the flare at 5.2mm. measure with the calipers and went for a test drive to make sure it's fully secure or you can check by hand before went for a ride.
